2011, a sunday
Hour of yoga, grocery shopping, brunch with Deepti (so pregnant!), Megan and Meghan. Deliciouuuuusssss waffles. More groceries, home for a bit, saw Jeff’s chorale perform, home for waffle leftovers and math review. Class starts tomorrow.
2010, a saturday
docked at port chalmers for a day in dunedin. had a beautiful ride on the taieri gorge railway – vintage wooden train cars and lots of trestle bridges and views of the river and gorges. we had champagne, tea and then lunch on the train (with montana wine, which we’d toured in marlborough). the whole ride was delightful! afterwards we went to larnach castle, which was gorgeous with breathtaking views. back on the ship we went to uncle denny and aunt pat’s for snacks and wine. fromtheir balcony we watched the young bagpiper and drummer serenading us from the wharf. we went to dinner and i had a delicious thai rice crème brûlée with lime sorbet.
