2011, a friday
Up early, picked up packages from the office downstairs, took care of some utilities nonsense (no, my name is not ‘Brosan’). Grocery run – got stuff to make kale salad and some sweet potato foil-packet tacos. Saw ‘the Help’, which was really really good. Bought a printer, made a return at Target, looked at fabric for curtains at Joann Fabric. Hulled two pounds of strawberries and made crumble topping for future individual-sized crumbles – I can just pour out what I need, instead of making one big one and worrying if it will spoil before I finish it. Talked to Mom about the curtains and caught up with the hometown news. Made dinner, watched some TNG. Now will probably watch some ‘Doctor Who’ or ‘Louie’, maybe go to bed early and try to puzzle through ‘Knock Knock’.
update: I made the crumble. I ate the crumble. With just enough coconut gelato to moisten each bite. It was freaking AMAZING.
2010, a thursday
breakfast at camp, broke camp, drove down the coast to humboldt redwood state park and did some hiking around the groves. drove back to sf without incident, just in time to see the fog rolling in over the golden gate bridge. showered for the first time in a couple days, then ordered take out sandwiches from the french place down the street and watched random tv shows and videos.
