2012, a wednesday
No field geology, so enjoyed a day of only two hours of class instead of 9. My Sed/Strat professor scanned my map from the homework assignment I was working on all weekend, and projected it for the whole class! Ran errands, bought a Pyrex baking dish which I’m pretty excited to use (hello adulthood), did physics homework. Made an awesome sandwich for dinner. More physics homework, tv, Noosa yogurt.

2010, a monday
woke up early and took the first ferry to rangitoto island. we hiked up to the summit of the old volcano and took in the view of the hauraki bay. i did a side trip to some lava caves, then we hiked back down. after the ferry back to auckland we cleaned up and got takeaway from the little café across the street from our hotel. we visited the winter gardens and fernz fernery at the auckland domain. we rested up a bit then had teppan-yaki at a place on the waterfront and got ice cream at a little place at princes wharf. i can’t believe tomorrow we already pick up the cruise ship! the week has gone by really fast.
