since i left for university my mom and i have mainly communicated via IM. if i don't see her online by mid-afternoon i start to get worried that something's happened to her. if she doesn't see me online by mid-afternoon she gets worried that something's happened to me. we have our own acronyms for commonly used phrases.
i've turned my mother into a nerd.
