Posted in i must retire to my nerdery, look over here!, videos on May 25th at 7:43pm – commentbehold: the latest installment of the spitzer science center’s web series for kids. starring amy okuda from ‘the guild’ and the voice of wil wheaton. the setting: the giant ring of saturn!
tangent: as wil wheaton has noted via his site and twitter, there was a truly great line in the finale of ‘the big bang theory’ last night, and I’d like to share it here:
…there are man-made objects on the moon, put there by a member of a species that only 60 years before had just invented the airplane!
whoa. right??

Posted in i must retire to my nerdery on April 15th at 11:20pm – commenttoday at the forum shops apple store, i played with the ipad. i totally want that star walk app, the calendar is as awesome as i thought (bring the new design over to ical, apple!) and ibooks is fantastic. sadly, didn’t get to check out the marvel app.
conclusions:
- gosh it’s heavy
- despite the tagline, it is not quite ‘magical’
- also w/r/t the tagline, the price is not ‘unbelievable’, at least not in the way apple’s marketing guys want you to interpret it.
also, probably longest post title ever.
