random experiment!
starting today i will be eating with my left hand. changing up normal, everyday tasks is supposed to keep those neurons sharp…plus it seems like a fun experiment. and a lot easier in the workplace than not speaking for a week. i tried to start doing this on monday, but forgot about it once i got back to my apartment that night. tomorrow we’re having a big business meeting lunch though, so hopefully i won’t make a total ass of myself. anyway, if you see me eating with my right hand this week, please remind me that the right is the wrong hand and the left is right.
Sinister!
Listening to some Fiona Apple a week or so ago, I had a “this makes me think of Kara” moment. So I did the old Yahoo search and found this…so this is me delurking I guess. Hope you’re well 🙂 Sure you are…
Anywho, a former history teacher of mine told me how American spies had to be trained in World War 1 and 2 to eat with their left hands. Evidently, it is an American thing to cut food with the fork in one hand and the knife in the one, then to switch the fork to the dominant hand. Euros, I guess, don’t make the switch. So you could tell who was an American from how they ate. Since 8 of 9 people are right handed, the lefty training was required.
Just think of the eating with the left hand thing as step one in you becoming Sydney Bristow or something.
TYLER!! i’m so excited to hear from you! i tried to email you awhile back, but i guess i had the wrong address. i had just watched ’emma’ and it was TOTALLY NOT AS GOOD without you. giggling at miss bates’ line about something being “much better” and how jane fairfax finds frank churchill to be “in no way disagreeable” is just not quite as funny. what are you up to? email me!
Which e-mail address should I use? I dug around the site for one, but mught have had a moment of blindness or something because I didn’t see one.
Until then, you should give my random blog a look. It is even more random than I am, if that’s possible.
